Hello,

4) No,
1. At first we reset information about current disc;
2. next we check if current optical drive is there ... the STARBURN_ERR_DEVICE_DISCONNECTED exception will be raised if current drive is detached ( is disabled ) ;
3. next we check if current optical drive is NOT LOCKED ( is not used exclusively );
4. next we check if optical disc is present in drive;
5. and ... we start to refresh information about disc;

Regards,

Dmitry

1) Sector size (ECC block) on DVD is always 32KB, software sector size (emulated) is 2048 bytes.

2) No. See 1)

3) No you cannot. There's always file system header & trailer written to the disc to fill the session.

hello,
I have some new questions:

1. For an empty disc, is LB size always 2048 bytes?

2. For a disc with data inside, can LB size change between sessions?

3. I've noticed that UDFDataBurner can burn sessions with 0 files. Does it create a session with an empty track or a session without tracks?

4. What does IDiscInfo.Refresh() do exactly? Does it dismount volume?

thanks,
Massimo
