StarPort iSCSI and AoE Initiator version 3.0.0 released. Rocket Division Software announces availability of the new 3.0.0 version of its iSCSI and AoE initiator software product. The major change from the previous versions is complete support for AoE protocol. The list of important changes includes: - Support for Windows 2003 Server x64 and Windows XP SP2 x64 (AMD64 platform). - Brand new AoE (ATA-over-Ethernet) initiator module. - Support for huge disks (above 2 TB) in iSCSI and AoE modules. - Early mounting of Persistent devices (before the user logs in). - New StarPort Service for other system services dependant on auto mounted devices. - New enhanced help and graphics. - Support for larger amount of simultaneously used targets. - New flexible licensing system. - Fixes and maintenance updates. This upgrade is a must for current users and important for those interested in software AoE initiator solution.
