For Immediate Release

Rocket Division Software [info@rocketdivision.com]

STARWIND AND STARPORT iSCSI SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED AS SHAREWARE PRODUCTS.

Rocket Division Software has announced that its leading iSCSI solutions StarWind (iSCSI target) and StarPort (iSCSI initiator) after more than year of being the FREE FOR NON COMEMRCIAL USE products which were distributed without any limitations while registration was only a user's good will matter and was not required finally becoming the SHAREWARE products.

There were several reasons for this decision accordingly to the company's CEO Anton Kolomyeytsev: "First of all the products have matured over the year and now became stable commercial quality solutions. Second is that frankly we have had quite a few examples when products were used for commercial purposes without any registration or notifications and since we should think about the business and make our profits we decided to adjust the distribution schema. From now on we offer the following licenses for the StarWind:

1) Non-profit organizations - FREE
2) Home use - $49 (One iSCSI client connection allowed, no virtualization enabled, only AS IS devices mapping). Also includes one FREE installation of StarPort.
3) Commercial use - $199 (Two iSCSI connections allowed, virtualization fully enabled). Also includes two FREE installations of StarPort, every additional connection - $99 (includes StarPort license).

Educational organizations have 50% discount.
Previous versions users (freeware) have 25% discount on purchase.

and for the StarPort:

1) Non-profit organizations Ö FREE.
2) Home use - $29 (FREE with purchase of StarWind personal).
3) Commercial use - $49 (FREE with purchase of StarWind Commercial).

Educational organizations have 50% discount.
Previous versions users (freeware) have 25% discount on purchase.

We believe that this will be just fair - we still offer good deal of licenses either for FREE or for nominal fee of $49 while commercial versions still cost the same they were. The trial period will enable full evaluation of the product and then the respective user will have to contact us to obtain the license. We surely hope that SHAREWARE approach once again will show its usefulness for both developers and the customers."
