Hi all. I'm just building the setup (first time with StarBurn)... where do I place "WNASPI32.DLL" ??? e.g. I have such a DLL (Adaptec) in my system32, and your WNASPI32.DLL is placed in the application directory (debug/release output directory of my application)...and this works fine (although device-manager says, there is a conflict)...should I place the dll in the App-Dir or Sys-Dir and when I place in in the end-users sys-Dir....what, if the DLL is already existing? Can I replace Adaptec's file? Many Thanks Spin |

This stuff was mentioned in the manual: you need to place WnASPI32.dll in the directory with your application. And only if operating system is Windows NT4/2000/XP/2003. Windows 95/98/Me have ASPI layer built-in. It would be a *BAD* idea to replace existing WnASPI32.dll file in \System32 directory. SpinDoctor wrote: Hi all.

while you were answering to my question, I was reading that in your manual (typically...first asking, then reading manuals) ... sorry for this |
