I just found that the wave files generated from Windows Media Player version 11 will be rejected with a message Unsupported audio file format: ......

Will it be added to work soon?

Quey

StarWind does automatic re-compression / de-compression from any Windows supported media format (if proper codec is installed). So if file rejected there should be some reason. At least provide us with something (log, sample file etc) so we could tell for sure.

Oh, I just run your sample MSVC AudioBurn.exe. Those files will be rejected at the Add Files step.
So, I don't think there will be any log for that
You can use any Audio CD to create the XXXXX.wav file by Windows Media Player and get the same result.
The same Audio CD ripping by iTune will work with MSVC AudioBurn.exe smoothly.

There must be something that Windows Media Player missed from your wav format support.
But they are Microsoft, what can we say about this?

I can say the same thing as I've said before. We need sample file or / and StarBurn log.

Well, I think I got the picture of this issue :)
I check the file header, it indicates RIFF format by the first 4 bytes are "RIFF".
I found "The WAVE file format is a subset of Microsoft's RIFF (Resource Interchange File Format) specification for the storage of multimedia files." at
https://ccrma.stanford.edu/courses/422/projects/WaveFormat/

When user set the Windows Media Player to rip audio track to WAV TYPE, the file it creates with .wav extension name but is in RIFF format.

Will StarBurn add this kind of RIFF-format-WAV file capable to create audio disc?

Best Regards,
Rocky

I have no clue what output options you've selected for your files in Media Player. This is third and really last time I've asked you to provide sample file and / or StarBurn log. When you'll make up your mind to help me in supporting you in the way I like and not you your response is welcomed to support@starburnsoftware.com. I'm giving up. Sorry.
