I'm burning a database backup to CD/DVD. If I eject the disc after closing the session, the backup is readable.

If I do not eject the file disc, I cannot see the backup via windows explorer or a DOS prompt. If I reboot the PC, the the backup is now visable via windows explorer or a DOS prompt.

Is there something I need to do after closing the session (StarBurn_CdvdBurnerGrabber_CloseSession) so that the files are immediately visible to Windows explorer?

Yes it is. ALL the applications do eject the disc to make Windows refresh file system content.

Thank you. Do you know if there is a way to force windows to refresh the disc without ejecting?

Check Google for FSCTL_XXX mount and dismount codes. This is a cludge and it's not gonna work until you keep StarBurn's handle open.

Thank you. I think I will just stick with forcing an eject.
