Hello Support,

I am using ImportTrack(..) of DataBurner class. It takes almost 30-35 seconds to load the specified session from the disc which 1) DVD+RW 2) Size = 1.38 GB 3) AllowMulti-sesssion=True, having some files and folders.

The time needed is very high in this case. Can this time be reduced. Because for discs of size 8.5 GB. It may take time in several minutes.

If this time can be reduced then it will be very good for the application I am developing.

Thank you.

Try to set maximum read speed before importing the data from the disc. Also disc size does not matter, amount of files and directory structure is.

Hello Support,

I tried with what you suggested.
1) dataBurner.WriteSpeed = MaxWriteSpeed of drive
2) dataBurner.WriteSpeed = MaxReadSpeed of drive

No effect. Same time required. :(

Thank you

Hello,

Yes, you can't specify the "Read" speed now ... we will modify the DataBurner class to provide the "ReadSpeed" property.

Regards,

Dmitry

Hello Support,

Thank you for reply.

I am having one suggestion for the same case if we can show the import status means % import completed then it will be very good.
Like 45 % import completed as a callback after import requested. It will be great and much user friendly I guess it's not much difficult to do !!!

Thank you.

As we have no way to know what's on disc before we import we cannot calculate progress.

You could actually provide a progress. Or rather, I'd appreciate if you could just fire an event that includes the imported file object (each time a file has been imported). Then I can calculate the progress myself, based on the size of the session and the file sizes of the already imported files. Can this be added?

It can be one session of 50 megabytes and 1000 files and it can be one session of 4 gigabytes and one file. Or do you mean file system metadata size?

I guess I mean the metadata, such as ITrack.Size. If you have one file of 4GB, the progress will not be very interesting, but "on average" you get a nicely progressing progress bar. In any case better than no progress information at all.
