Post subject:  Erase progress in StarBurnX

I have the StarBurn SDK release 10.5. My application is written in C# and I am using StarBurnX DiscEraserClass to erase CD-RW. Sometimes, the OnProgress event seems to work OK. Other times, the OnProgress event says the progress percentage is 0% every time. Obviously, this makes it look like my application is hung (for 23 minutes). I do development on two different computers, and it just occurred to me that it may be working on one computer and not the other. Could that be the case? Is there a workaround?

At the moment, it is not working and the device is "TSSTcorp CDRWDVD TS-H493B D200".

Hello,

1) What does the "TSSTcorp CDRWDVD TS-H493B D200" device during 23 min? Is the media disc really erased?

2) We need to look into the StarBurn.log file. This file is usually created in the root of drive C:. Send this log file to me -dmitry.bortsov@rocketdivision.com.
P.s. delete this file and run your application again if your current log file is too big to be sent.

Regards,

Dmitry[/u]

Hello Dima Sir,

I too have faced the same problem several times with different combinations of discs and drives. In some other posts also we had discussed the same problem. But I couldn't yet figured out the exact difference in erasing DVD +RW and DVD -RW. Many times I have seen this behavior for DVD -RW. But still I am not clear whether it always comes with that combination.

I can re-produce the same error should I send the logs?
Thank you.

Thank you for reply.

Newer dlls woks fine.
But while checking for erasing process. I am having an USB drive with which I was checking erasing. After almost 50% accidently drive was removed. But still erasing process was going on.
Actually StarBurnX should directly give me error about drive removal. I was observing StarBurn Core samples it is properly done there. Even erase process is aborted automatically with erase aborted error. Why the erasing process was not aborted? :?:

Will you please kindly look into the problem? Will you please check this special case in all other burning and grabbing sections also.
Thank you in advance.
