Post subject:  Starburn disc I/O

Hi,
we are developing an application that can do intensive I/O operations even during burning.
Probably due to the concurrency with starburn disc i/o, our i/o operations are quite slow (4-5mb/s is the average real copy speed).

Launching 3 burning operations on the same time, I can see that the burn speed and the cpu usage doesn't change comparing with a single burning operation.
So I suppose you use some kind of lock/mutex between different starburn instances to optimize disc I/O, right?

Is there some way to sincronize an external i/o operation with starburn i/o operations?

thanks,
Massimo.

We don't use anything like this. Make sure you have enough of RAM and use different hard disk for paging and extra I/O stuff.
