Post subject:  Empty driveletter?

Hello,

I'm currently using a evaluation version of StarBurn with Delphi2007.
When I'm trying to display the driveletter of a specified burner, it is just empty. (I need to display the driveletter together with the device name)

Is this as designed, or do I need to do anything specific to retreive the driveletter?

I'm currently using a TsbDeviceItem, just as in the Audio Burner example.

Thanks in advance.

First of all please stick with the right forum. This one is NOT for the SDK. I'll move the thread to the "StarBurn SDK" if you don't mind :)

Second we need to know the way you use to enumerate the devices. If you're using ASPI then please use StarBurn_GetDeviceNameByDeviceAddress(...) API call. If you use SPTI or SPTD you pass device symbolic link yourself so you should already know the name :)

Sorry, I totally missed that
Thanks for moving my post.

I'm using SPTI, and the exact same code as in the Audio Burner demo:
-ufrmSelectDevice.pas, method PrepareInfo

Both my code, and the example will return a empty Drive Letter in the TsbDeviceItem class.

Thanks in advance!

1) No problem :)

2) OK, so it was SPTI... One moment, let me kick Andrew so he'd take a look :) BTW, did you try calling StarBurn_GetDeviceLetter(...) for "CdRom%d" style symbolic link?

Thanks!

No, I haven't tried that (yet).
I will try this now and let you know about the results.

Thanks a lot for the tip.
