Post subject:  starportlite.sys and XP upgrade problems

I'm upgrading my XP OS and no matter what variations I've tried, I can't get the file starportlite.sys from interfering. With Starburn version 10 installed and uninstalled and version 12 installed and uninstalled, it's always the same. The installer says the file cannot be found and setup fails. I searched for and removed the starportlite.sys key from the registry, but no luck. I suspect there may be more keys to be removed, but I don't know where to find them. Can somebody help, please? Thanks!

I think we've sorted out this one by e-mail, don't we? In a nutshell: go to Control Panel -> System -> Devices and manually remove StarPort driver (as the driver is AWOL it should carry red exclamaition mark). That's all...

Yes - thanks to you, Anton, my starportlite.sys is no longer an issue. There are other issues, but nothing to do with Rocket's software (Norton got in the way.) I forgot how much fun changing OS's can be... Once this is over, I'm going for the full version of Star Burn. Thanks again!
