Doing an eval of the StarBurn application. I have downloaded and installed the free version. I need to include CD-Text on audio CD that I am burning. I ran through the wizard and used files that had had the properties filled in in the editor. but no CD-text is evident in the files when played. Is there an issue or is there a setting that I am missing

1) Did you actually enable CD-Text?

2) Are you sure you've burn in Disc-At-Once mode?

The files I am using during the eval are standard .mp3 files. I will be testing with .wav (PCM 32bit stereo) next.

2)By what player you try to look cd-text?

windows media player and VLC Media player. I have also RIPed the CD back in to the editor and the info on the track is missing.

You simply don't see CD-Text because this players don't show it :)

Please use plug-in WMPCDText for Windows Media Player for showing CD-Text:

Or for example use CD-Text Manager:

Hello,

I was not aware that WMP does not read the CD-Text as I have seen it come up with track information when I have played a CD. However, it may be getting the track information from another source other than the CD.

Download both programs and they did work to pull track info from the CD.

I will burn another pre-production CD and test it in a new style CD player to see if the track info come through. If it does, you have a customer and we will purchase your package.

Thanks for the help Andrey and Anton

Media Player recognizes the discs according to the track duration. So for short or single-track compilation it will provide bogus artist and track name information :))
