Hello,

We need StarBurn logs to analyze situation. Can you send StarBurn log file to us?
1)Run StarBurn
2)Run Burn Video wizard and reproduce burning of your video.
3)In burning page of Video Burner wizard after burning finished click on "Send Report" button, after this must be
created email letter.
4)In letter body please past link on this forum thread.

Why you don't burn your avi file with StarBurn "Burn Data" wizard?

If I have got currently right, you want to compress you video file to CD size.
StarBurn have not features for video compression, but you can try Virtual Dub product for this.

no sorry Audrey i do not want to compress onto a cd all i was asking was with nero i was burning onto a dvd disc at 4.2 gig but when i use your program i only use approx 700 meg.
nero was decoding/encoding to that4.3 g size and played perfectly on my dvd player at all formats ..

So what Nero really does it takes 700MB MPEG4 compressed movie and creates 4.3GB MPEG2 DVD-Video. Your DVD player can play fine MPEG2 (DVD-Video) but cannot do the same with MPEG4 (DivX or XviD).
