How long should a typical Video or image capture take? Should I patiently wait 1-4 hours? The DVDs I tried stop at various places. The screen feedback indicates everything checks out ok:
...

21:13:26 : Try to check is DVD CSS protected...
21:13:26 : DVD is protected with CSS.
21:13:26 : Try to DVD Authorizing...
21:13:27 : DVD Authorized successfully.
21:13:27 : Grabbing...

Log file attached (tried. The extension .log is not allowed, The extension .txt is not allowed, no extension is not allowed)
It freezes at 17%. Is there a work-around?
Thanks,
Dan

Looks like the disc has either RipGuard or ARccOS bad block based protection system together with CSS... You need other software to break it, not StarBurn.

Thanks. Makes sense.
Feature request: After a designated number of read failures or time-outs and lack of the percentage indicator advancing, it would be helpful to prompt the user for a Continue or Cancel button. Consider, "StarBurn is either unable to determine the protection system used on this resource or experience other read errors. Click Cancel to discontinue."

I assumed processing must still be occuring after 4 hours of waiting, because the drive was still churning and processes were active.

I think this is a good idea and we'll implement this in the nearest future. Thank you for suggestion!
