trying to make starburn install silent.

starburnsetup.exe /silent works - but it still shows a "please reboot" message at the end.

How can I silently install starburn ?

EDIT: found out 5 minutes later - installer is INNO SETUP - and that has a standard /silent and ...... /verysilent

:-)

EDIT ..... Nope - still shows "please reboot" :-(

also trying to use wise package studio (repackaging to MSI) - OK in normal install mode, when using silent install...problems registrering the SCSI adapter (sptd.sys ?)....

Please advise.

...and StarBurn itself can be installed in the silent mode (I also have no clue why it should be done but whatever...). The problem is StarBurnSetup.exe has also embedded StarPort (DVD Emulator), StarWind (iSCSI Target for CD/DVD device sharing) and SPTD layer (way we access the devices). So we need to pass "silent" to ALL of these embedded setup modules... Can be done for our own stuff (StarPort & StarWind) but not for the SPTD we license from Duplex Secure and don't develop ourself. So your task don't have a solution at this moment :) If you'd tell us WHY you need silent install we'll think about how to pass parameters to embedded modules.

Hi Anton.

Trying to install StarBurn for deployment in local government here in Denmark.

We are deploying programs via Zenworks, therefore we need a silent install. We are repackaging with Wise (to MSI) or using legacy setup that works completely silent.

Hope you have more info/help for me :-)

But thanks anyway !

btw.: sptd in the download version from duplexsecure supports silent install.......(I visited their homepage)

Not really... SPTD can be installed in silent mode however it will still pop up the dialogs asking to reboot the machine. The same about StarBurn. We cannot proceed with SPTD transport w/o reboot.
