#1 Burning Software

First of all, I Love StarBurn! It's the burning app that I've been looking for.

However, when I first downlaoded and installed it, everything worked except the "Grab Audio" feature. When I tried to use that feature, it would just run and run and never make any progress. It would hang up at the "Grabbibng track 1 to temporary WAV file" step in the process. I had to use Windows Task Manager to end the process, then reboot to get back control of the disk drive. This held true on both my Windows 7 and XP machines.

However, it appears that the first version that I downloaded, Version 12r10 (0x20091021), came from somewhere other than the main StarBurn site. I think I found it as the result of a search and just downloaded it from wherever I first ran across it.

I have now downloaded Version 13 (0x20110818) directly from the StarBurn site and it works perfectly - grabs tracks from audio CDs and converts them to mp3 on the fly.

So if you're having trouble with the "Grab Audio" feature, my advice is to check the version number and if needed, go download the most current version from the StarBurn site.
