User says the disc he burns is unreadable, though some other burning applications seem to suffer from the same problem. Log attached. Are there any hints at a defect drive or otherwise defect hardware?

Hello,

Yes, seems you are right, reported the 'LOGICAL UNIT NOT READY, LONG WRITE IN PROGRESS' error:

1) check the latest firmware for the your/customer device;

2) change burning mode from DAO96(PW) to other mode ( perhaps drive does not fully support DAO96 (PW) )

Regards,

Dmitry

I am now inclined to believe the burner in my laptop may be defective as I tried to burn the same cd using WMP and it is toast also!
Considering this thread closed and will use my external burner from now on on laptop.
