DVD is burnt successfully, but after checking it later I discovered that not all of the files were burnt (or at least not all are shown where they should be) :( .
Three files were missing from compilation (which consisted of 54 directories and lots of smaller files inside of those dirs).

Starburn is the latest (r12), burner - PIONEER DVR-112D, windows vista ultimate x64.

This isn't first time I had this problem. I had same problem with one of the older builds on XP SP2 and older PIONEER DVR burner. So, this kind of behaviour is present for some time.

It makes me wonder how can one trust that all files were written on DVD medium. I never had similar problems with Nero (from v6 through 8) and it probably isn't problem in burner or OS.

Huh, I hope I wasn't to confusing :D

It is. Please provide complete StarBurn log. It should tell what's wrong and why some particular files were ignored.

Will do first thing in the morning. Machine on which this error happened is on my work place and I won't be able to access it till morning.

Although what could be culprit is file that had windows codepage 1250 "ć" letter in it's name. Two other files that were not burned were alphabetically behind that file. So is it possible that starburn couldn't read this file and ignored other two files that were behind.

Anyway - sending log tomorrow morning.

P.S.
Starburn version is 12r8.

As promised, here are logs.

File in question was "Rada Bogdanović.doc". That one was ignored. Also, as I said earlier, two files that came alphabetically after that one ("zlazak sunca.tif" and "zlazak sunca.jpg") were also ignored. Everything else (including subdirectories and files inside those) was written OK.

Line in LOG file (starburn.log) is:

CStarBurn_FileTree::CreateFromRoot(): FindFirstFile( 'G:\backup\GF0109\Ivo Bogdanovic - Rada Bogdanovic - Katalog\Rada Bogdanovic.doc\*.*' ) failed, status 3

As I said - it's probably due to letter "ć" which is part of Croatian language I use.

That's the answer... Please use UDF file system as it has full Unicode support.
