:)

Could you please check - can you play the same AVI file directly from your hard disk (this will isolate codec problem, if no audio still - it's not StarBurn, rather you need to find and install appropriate audio codec). Or do you have problems playing file on your stand alone DVD player?

If I have got currently right your AVI file playing with sound form hard drive and without sound from burned CD?
What disc type you use for burning DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW or DVD-RW?
What size of AVI file?

> acf59 : Please, can you use punctuation? You are sometimes hard to understand.

1. What's your standalone DVD player and what are the codecs that it supports?

2. What are the CODECs (audio and video) used for making this avi file? If you don't know, you can use a codec information software like GSpot for knowing it.

3. Some standalone CD/DVD players cannot correctly read DivX file(s) burned on a DVD, but read fine a DivX file burned on a CD.

Hi my DVd player is a JNC and i presume that it supports all codecs i do not know where to find that info out and when i have burned avi files b4 with Nero they play in it i havent had problems with DivX files b4
the codecs for this Avi file are XviD 1.1.2 Final for the video and the audio are 0x0055 MPEG-1 Layer 3 :|

Does recorded disc come readable in PC? Did you finalize the disc after burning (no next session allowed)?
